Fisco Restobar
I still remember my last school camp, just over a decade ago. Lying under a banyan tree and counting the infinite stars on a moonlit night was perhaps one of those moments I cherished growing up. Now with the smoky haze over the city of Mumbai, it can sometimes get difficult to see the moon, let alone the stars! When I came across the beautifully lit banyan tree inside Fisco, I couldn’t help but smile thinking about those school days where friends, fun and faltoo timepass ruled the roost!
This beautiful contemporary vegeterian Lounge – Restobar is situated in the suburb of Mahavir Nagar – Kandivali West, Mumbai and offers the best of the Indian and International cuisines. The place has some lovely round tables, high chair sofas on one end and cute cozy corner seating arrangement. I am not a fan of veg food but this fine dine restobar is known for its pleasant ambience and fabulous food and that compelled my visit. The prices are bit on the higher side but at the end we realized that it was total value for money as the portions, taste and uniqueness of the dish were worth it!
What I liked about the place:
1. Ambience is very classy, modern and stylish.
2. Presentations and signature dishes are great!
3. Staff is very helpful, attentive and courteous.
4. Menu and ambience compliment each other perfectly.
What I didn’t like that much :
1. Didn’t like the Brocolli. Thats a bias I’ve held from my school days….lol…
2. Location is on the main road near Raghuleela mall, not very visible but take care not to miss the place while looking for it.
What we tried out:
Orange Punch : Fresh orange, kaffir lime leaves, vanilla syrup , house mix soda
Fisco Delight : Pineapple juice, apple juice, strawberry crush and saltI didnt like this that much as I wanted something more on the soda base side.
Guava Beach : Guava Juice, Cream, Peach crush. This was like a smoothie and wass very yummy and refreshing.
Italian Kick : Apple Juice, house mix, basil leaves and soda. Veramente Italiano!
Fisco Special Spicy Burmese Khow Suey: This is a delicious coconut based Khao Suey Soup which is served with different toppings like crushed peanuts, red chilli flakes, fried onions, burnt garlic chilli, noodles, rice etc which one can add as per your taste and liking.
Margherita Pizza which is a thin crust classic pizza bread baked with tomato and cheese.
4 way Pizza : 4 different types of pizzas – Paneer, Olives and Jalepenos , Brocollis and Bell pepper.
Paneer basket : Bread basket with paneer and exotic vegetables.
Pav Bhaji Cone : A unique approach to the Mumbaikar’s staple pav bhaji. Well baked bread cones stuffed with the traditional bhaji. WOW! This was really good!
Broccoli Walnut Tikka : Exotic broccoli, with mustard and walnut paste infused in Indian spices. I didnt like this that much honestly.
Fisco Special Corn & Water Chestnut : This is baby corn deep fried and tossed in pepper sauce . Very tasty!
Burritos: Mexican roll wrapped with orange flavor rice served with salasa and dip.
Mozzarella Baked Macaroni: One of the BEST creamy cheese macaroni pasta we ever had. My kids loved it!
Veg Lasagne: Pasta sheet with exotic vegetables, Arrabiata with cheese sauce.
Crunchy Sesame Paneer: Sweet and spicy soft paneer in sauce with sprinkled sesame seeds
Peanut Kaju Chaat : One interesting chaat with various kinds of Indian chutney mixed with peanut and kaju and pomegranate.
